In this February 2026 speech in the Legislative Assembly, I respond to the government’s latest budget and raise serious concerns about the direction of British Columbia’s finances.

For the second year in a row, the NDP government has delivered one of the largest deficits in B.C.’s history, adding billions in new borrowing while many British Columbians continue to struggle with rising costs, crime in their communities, housing pressures, and economic uncertainty.

In my remarks, I challenge the government’s fiscal management and ask whether this budget truly delivers results for the people of British Columbia.
